We had a very nice surprise visit today from Richard & Caroline. I have no idea why they came but we got lots of nice ear rubs from them.
Myself, Sox and Ishma took up the task of showing them round the Gainsborough Kennels and they stayed about two hours paying us the attention we deserve as the retired athletes we are.
This weekend me and my Kennel partner Sox had a trip out to the pet shop in Lincoln. It was a bit cold but I had my best coat on and one of our staff brought a nice bed along so I could lay down and rest.
We had lots of people to visit us and some even went into the shop and bought us some treats.
Sox met a rather nice man called Richard and was quite taken with him, but I was much more interested in the pretty lady called Caroline.
Altogether it was a good day and I would like to thank the Lincoln Pets at Home Branch for letting us all camp out side the shop and raise money for me and all the other retired greyhounds at the Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust.
The photos of us rather handsome hounds on the website do not really do us justice. With that in mind I decided we needed to arrange a photoshoot.
As much as I try I still cannot use a phone and those touch screen smartphones are just impossible to dial on when you have large and very impressive racing paws like I do.
Luckily Gill at the Gainsborough kennels where I am currently staying has hands and not paws so can use a phone well and knows a rather good photographer so with a little persuasion she contacted a very nice young man from http://www.fieldofdreamsphotography.net. He came and took our photographs. While I am obviously the most handsome of all the hounds I do think my kennel sister Sox looks rather good in the photograph above.
