Bransby Horses Home – my first day out

Hi everyone, its Ted here again.

I am currently in kennels in Gainsborough, waiting for someone to adopt me.

Today is another very exciting day as I am having a day out for the first time.

Bransby Horse Home are having a dog show and the Lincolnshire Greyhound Trust who are currently looking after me are going.

They are taking me to meet the public, somethings called horses and dogs that are not greyhounds if you can believe such a thing.

I am also told that two people called Richard & Caroline will be taking me out for a walk in the countryside. Its all very new and very strange but I cannot wait.

The Lincolnshire Grey’t Greyhound Gathering

The Gathering

Today was ‘The Gathering”.  While there is nothing really wrong with other dogs, sometimes we Greyhounds want to socialise together.

Once a year we have the great greyhound gathering.  This year it was a Cadwell Park next to the race track, where I understand Richard has raced his noisy motorcycles.

We had three show rings for competitions, two dedicated for greyhounds and one for the lesser breeds of hound, but still sight hounds, not lesser breeds of dog.

It was a good day out and I had a present bought for me.  A new bed, as a greyhound can never have too many beds, collars, leads and coats.  In fact I think my wardrobe is bigger then my foster dad’s!
